WGM Rusudan Goletiani

Born in the Republic of Georgia, "Rusa" has enjoyed great success throughout her career which began at the age of six. She is a three time World Junior Champion and is consistently adding to her list of accomplishments. In 2003 she won the Women's Continental Championship and was the US Woman's Champion in 2005. She most recently played for the 2006 US Woman's Olympic Team, finishing as the team's top scorer in Turin, Italy.

Rusa recently participated in Dresden Germany where she represented the US Woman's Olympiad team. The team took bronze from a field of 114 teams. Her undefeated performance of 7 wins and 4 draws earned her a silver medal on third board!

Rusa has been teaching chess professionally for eight years. She co-founded the WCA to provide children the opportunity to study and enjoy chess at the highest level.


Mike Amori

Mike is USCF Expert with 15 years of teaching experience. He was a former member of the American Stock Exchange and gave up a career in business to teach chess to children. Mike spent most of his teaching career with the National Scholastic Chess Foundation headed by famed coach and teacher Sunil Weeramantry. Mike's passion for teaching is fueled by his strong belief that chess is an educational stepping stone for all children.
